We focus on the Missionaries in the C&MA and their work in evangelizing the world, and promote the worldwide missions work of the C&MA. For the missionaries and the respective families within our district, we provide support annually via an outfit fund, adopting three to four missionary families for focused care and prayer. We plan and coordinate Missions Conference weekend(s). Special projects also include a stamp ministry and Alabaster Box Coin collections, the collections being designated for a particular project within the C&MA mission field.
One Sunday each month we visit Hamilton Grove Geriatric Center. Our goal is to provide worship and fellowship opportunities for our brothers and sisters in Christ who can no longer transport themselves to our worship service. The visit includes prayer, singing, Bible reading, and a message, usually from the sermon our pastor has given that day. This is also an outreach for the staff and visitors – they attend the event and sometimes reach out for prayer.
“So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Team Leader: Christian Scheiner
Through Christ’s love, we seek to empower and equip all people to overcome physical, emotional, and spiritual hardships. Our outreach ministries include the following:
We offer people an opportunity to find a “way out” of dependency/co-dependency (substance, mental, behavioral, physical) without the use of shame, guilt or condemnation, but through spiritual guidance. This is a group fellowship where love and hope combine with God’s purpose to mend lives. We leverage the “Celebrate Recovery” materials for this ministry. We also provide scholarships to those who cannot afford to participate in a Christian rehab program, and we continue the sponsorship relationship with them upon completion of their program.
We provide meals once-a-month to Pond Run Housing, which is a local seniors’ facility. We not only provide them with meals, but more importantly we fellowship with them through Christ’s example.
All Free Indeed volunteers are trained to walk alongside anyone seeking support in the process of reaching their spiritual, intellectual, emotional, physical and/or social goals.
We reach out to homeless and impoverished people in our communities with the hope and love of Jesus, for the purpose of meeting their physical and spiritual needs - through the provision of care bags and prayer ministry. Teams go out on selected weekends (*see bulletin / Events for location and times).
Riders for Christ
The aim of this ministry is to promote fellowship with Christian motorcycle enthusiasts, builds bridges with other motorcycle riders, and to bring glory to Jesus Christ through various Rides, Cruise-Ins, the Blessing of the Bikers, and projects in our local community and world… http://www.ridersforchristcmc.com/
We equip lay-people to provide confidential, one-on-one Christian care to people in our congregation and community who are experiencing grief of any kind in their lives.
We currently participate in community events and provide resources to help make people aware of the existence of human trafficking and the signs to look for if someone is being human trafficked. We also partner with anti-human trafficking organizations to provide victims with physical and spiritual support to help them overcome the trauma and devastation resulting from their victimization.
